Disputed FreightGuard reports: preserve facts and prepare a response

Preserve the complete report and its notification immediately. A commercial report and a carrier’s disagreement are statements to investigate, not an established finding of guilt or falsity.

Keep the carrier alive from:

Losing a response opportunity and answering a disputed report without evidence.

Check the actual response instructions now

Carrier411’s published FreightGuard rules describe a 72-hour response period measured from report submission and one response that cannot be revised afterward. Use the designated response route and verify your particular notice; published rules describe exceptions. Do not assume a letter or email substitutes for that process.

Build a response before submitting it

Prepare a short draft that a reviewer can understand without knowing the load. Verify each assertion against your records.

  • Identify the report and relevant load.
  • Quote only the specific assertion you need to address.
  • State the fact you dispute and the document that supports your position.
  • Acknowledge an accurate detail even when you disagree with the conclusion.
  • Keep threats, insults and unsupported accusations out of the response.
  • Have an authorized person review the exact final text.

Keep a versioned record

Retain the original notification, visible report, relevant terms, drafted response, submitted text and dated receipt. Record when you observed later changes. Preserve context and avoid exposing unrelated customers or sensitive personal information.

Removal and remedies are uncertain

A report does not automatically disappear because it is disputed or marked deleted. Check current platform rules and seek qualified advice if legal rights are involved. FBC is independent of Carrier411 and cannot guarantee removal, load access or a business outcome.
